The Precious Gift of a Wedding Album

For anyone who has planned a wedding, I think we can agree that booking a photographer to capture that special day is in the top three of the “to-do” list. We want visual reminders of the day that can feel like a blur.

What did you do after your favorite pictures were selected, edited, and returned to you? Did you have them printed to hang on the wall? Your office desk? To gift to your parents? Did you have an album made?

As the years go on, your walls may also fill up with pictures of your trips together, pets, and children. Slowly, some wedding pictures might be replaced or exchanged in those frames, until just a few of the photos from your big day may still be displayed in your home.

It is so nice to have a wedding album you can open and look through when you’re feeling nostalgic or to share with your children or grandchildren.

I think we take for granted that we have the technology to already have our wedding photos preserved digitally and can create beautiful albums to be displayed prominently on your coffee table or a bookshelf.

My mom just had a brown three-ring album with plastic slips containing 4x6 photographs of her wedding. My grandma had a collection of negatives and some pictures from her day. How amazing of a gift would it be for your parents or grandparents to create a beautiful, premium album they can display in their home and share with loved ones? Would you and your siblings love to have your own albums of your parents’ wedding?

I did just that for my mom and dad. I scanned all of their wedding pictures and put together an album for them that they can proudly exhibit in their living room. My sister and I also have the ability to have our own copies to share with our children and grandchildren some day.

I know that parents are often the most difficult to shop for and to make it meaningful. Give the gift of their wedding album or your own. It is never too late to preserve these beautiful memories.
